Words and Music by Dario Lastella

Parte I
Il tempo modula gli eventi,
singhiozza lacrime di giorni persi.
Il tempo regola i bisogni.
Il tempo sposta i sogni,
ristagna in isole su mari eterni.
Gli eventi modulano il tempo,
singhiozzano sorrisi di giorni tersi.
Poi scivolano su fiumi,
attenuando colori, memorie e lumi.

Parte II

No, no! dimmi perché, dimmi perché
nel silenzio tutto crolla intorno a me!
No! no, non c’è nessuno alla mia porta.

nel silenzio tutto crolla intorno a me!
Io resto seduto in una stanza,
stupito che speranza significhi distanza da te,
amore mio lontano stringi forte la mia mano
Perché è solo un’epoca sospesa,
solo una triste e lunga attesa
di quando il deserto fiorirà.

Parte V

Sole triste.
E la vita si spegne,
solitudine, noia e dolore per noi!
Tempo lento,
mio nemico feroce
vomiti una rabbia che non fermerai.

Anche la notte più scura finirà.
Non vincerà, non vincerà,
non vincerà il dolore senza libertà!

Quando stai cadendo ripeti che
Non vincerà, non vincerà,
non vincerà il dolore senza libertà!

Parte IX
Un nuovo giorno inizia come quello prima
e finisce come quello prima ancora…

aspettiamo…
Anche il mondo piano piano si ingrigisce,
e un giorno finirà questa sua storia,
aspettiamo…
Anche il sole lentamente si esaurisce,
urlerà di rabbia diventando un buco nero,
aspettiamo…
Le galassie finiranno una ad una,
collassando in ammassi di materia,
aspettiamo…
Solo il tempo regna eterno sulla vita,
trasformando la materia in energia.

Vola anima libera, e rinnova lo zeitgeist.

The Collector
Words and Music by Dario Lastella

Please let me show you my humble abode,
I provided it with all these fancy comforts.
Please sit on my Paimio armchair
and enjoy a red Maury and a homemade eclair.

Fine arts are cuddling my senses and feeding my eyes.
Only the beauty can help us to endure these times.

Would you try a slice of Grasshopper Pie?
Or would you prefer another glass of my wine?
Please let me show you my playground downstairs,
I am a man of wealth and taste.

You can find anything you need to enjoy your time.
This is my collection room, darling, now you are mine!

Walking down a path in the countryside,
Everything is shining in the glow of the summer light.
Dark is my path in my lonely ride,
No light is shining in the afterglow of my winter night.

Maybe I should join a meditation course.
Maybe I should buy you a new purse.
Maybe I should give away my collection to this dog.
Maybe I should hide in a peat bog.
Maybe I should leave it all and fly down south.
Maybe I should fight my drought.
Maybe I should stop sneaking through these rhymes.
Maybe I should just dissolve in time.

Ooh just dissolve in time, fading in the night.

Stendhal Syndrome
Words and Music by Dario Lastella

Blinding light. Visual ecstasy.

I, I need a vision of an angel by my side,
floating in the waves deep down in my darkest mind.
Will you dive deep there with me?
Don’t speak, just smile, hold my chain .
Stendhal syndrome melts my brain.
Blinding light. Visual ecstasy.

You, beautiful picture exposed in a crowded room,
my pure idea of beauty, I begin to swoon.
What are you doing to me?
My eyes get blind down in my cave.
Stendhal syndrome. I’m your slave.

Blinding light. Visual ecstasy.

Kandinsky’s Sky
Words and Music by Dario Lastella

I will try to find your eyes in a million eyes
I will try to find your smile hidden among the stars
I will try to hear your voice throughout the sweetest melodies
But I will never satisfy my need of you.

We were walking in the Park, the sun shone high
You were so beautiful among the colours of spring time
But I could feel your sadness running through my soul
While your green and melancholic eyes turned to blue.

Paint my soul with red when you’re fire
Paint it green with a blink of your eyes
Draw on me the lines that shaped your life
Let me fly in your own Kandinsky’s sky.

Maybe our lines along time and space won’t meet again.
Now that park is a battlefield flooded with pain.
All the colours drown in mud and fade to grey.
Melodies are torn apart by the rhythm of the machine guns.

Paint my soul with white because you’re pure light
Paint it blue, my dear I want to feel you tonight.
Draw on me the lines to make me feel your smile.
Give me a little hope, let me live tonight.

Paint my soul with red when you’re fire
Paint it green with a blink of your eyes
Draw on me the lines that shaped your life
Let me fly in your own Kandinsky’s sky.
