Christmas rehearsals and recordings

Christmas Time was very busy for ifsounds.
The band worked hard recording some of the tracks you’ll find in the album we’ll try to release in this 2010.
It was a great experience: the old members of “if” (Claudio, Franco and me, Dario) started this new job with the new members (Elena and Enzo), trying hard to find a good bandship for the new band called “ifsounds”. I enjoyed a lot the rehearsals and I’m sincerely thinking that all of you fans and medias will love the new music we’re working on!
Enzo is an extraordinary drummer. We had some “technical” problem in the very first rehearsal (the gears were not completely ready!!!), but we could manage them and then we discovered a real “war machine”, who performed his drum parts with great technical precision and a lot of fantasy. I can say we’re working with another great drummer working with us after the experience with the talented Luca “Pingu” Di Pardo in “Morpho Nestira”.
But the nicest surprise of the sessions was Elena: we had already worked with her in the past and we all appreciated her job, but in the last three years she developed and improved her skills. Her voice now reached a new maturity, she’s now more powerful and expressive… in one word, Elena is perfect to shape our new sound and our music has now a new colour that I really love.
In the next days I’ll upload some video of the rehearsals on ifsounds.com. Hope you will enjoy them.

Donato Zoppo su Morpho Nestira

Donato Zoppo è ormai un’istituzione nel mondo del prog italiano.
Giornalista e scrittore noto agli appassionati per le sue recensioni (su Jam, Wonderous Stories, Metromorfosi e L’Idea) e per i suoi libri di approfondimento sul mondo del rock progressivo (ricordiamo tra gli altri quello sulla PFM).
Donato ha pubblicato una bella recensione di “Morpho Nestira” sul portale MovimentiPROG e sul suo blog personale Chi va con lo Zoppo. Lo ringraziamo per il suo giudizio positivo e per la sua amicizia!

Now, we know we’ve got lot of fans there (thanks to our friend Navigator!!!), but I really can’t understand why so many spammers keep on writing messages and comments on our site in Russian promoting everything (I can read Russian a little bit).
Do you really think that ifsounds.com may help your promotions?

Power of Prog - The community of proggers

ifsounds are now proud members of one of the best music communities in the world, Power of Prog.
Power of Prog was created by Nick from Melodic Revolution Records and gained quickly several great prog bands, musicians and fans from all over the world.
Thanks to Hox Vox for the invitation, to Nick for the community and to all the friends we made there in a very few days… prog on!!!

“Oceans of Time” Track of the week on IMIsound

Lavori in corso

Abbiamo cominciato a lavorare sui brani nuovi.
“Morpho Nestira” ha raccolto grandi recensioni ed è stato accolto benissimo dagli ascoltatori di tutto il mondo.
Il nostro obiettivo adesso è quello di ripetere e se possibile migliorare il successo di “Morpho Nestira”.
Sappiamo bene che sarà una grande sfida per la nostra band e sappiamo anche che questo sarà un lavoro chiave per la nostra carriera.
La band ha aggiunto “sounds” al nome “if”, non semplicemente per un cambio di marchio, ma per realizzare un cambio “reale” e per offrire ai fan e agli amici la miglior musica che può produrre.
Gli ifsounds cercheranno di trovare nuove percorsi musicali, di aggiungere nuovi suoni alla loro musica, di esplorare ancora più a fondo l’animo umano.
E lo faranno anche grazie al contributo di Enzo ed Elena che aggiungeranno le sonorità nuove di cui la band ha bisogno.
Grazie a tutti voi che vorrete percorrere questa nostra avventura insieme a noi.

Work in progress

We’ve started to work on the new songs.
“Morpho Nestira” recollected great reviews and was greatly received by listeners all over the world.
Our aim is to repeat and increase the success of “Morpho Nestira”.
We know very well that it will be a big challenge for our band. We also know that this will be a key work for our career.
The band changed its name adding “sounds” to “if” and we are working to make this change “real” and to offer to our fans and friends our best music.
ifsounds is not simply a different brand for our band: we want to find new musical paths, we want to add new sounds to our music, we want to explore new parts of human souls.
And we will do it with our two new bandmates Enzo and Elena that will add the new sounds our music needs.
Thanks to everyone of you who will be with us in this new adventure.
